Torchwood holds the record for highest rating ever BBC3s show, so im a little surprised that they would like to move, but I doubt it has detracted from the show. Its already aired on 2 anyway. And new episodes of Torchwood are currently outrating new episodes of Lost so clearly there is some demand. Good news. If you \ 'll editorialising forgive a bit, I hope that the production team takes the opportunity of a second series of really find their feet.
Doctor Who seemed to iron out quickly its bugs and really earn the attention it was receiving. Torchwood compared greatly disappointed me, and I am surprised (but not unhappy), as well as their being received as it is. The premise is solid, but the plots are low, credibility is stretched, certain points of "logic" are non-sensical, and for me at least the cast really does not gel. Most of the characters have little appeal to me, and apparently little appeal to the other (with the exception of wanting to bonk a lot).
Jack is far from being as the forefront when it should be, and they have used that to their advantage even in terms of strengthening the other cast members. At present, a big sound, gritty, incident mess filled with a lot of fucking keep shippers happy. And I sincerely hope that the end of the season will hiatus makers a chance to review their work and move in directions strong. If its just more of the same, then I cannot see maintain the long-term interests. He can run and rates for many years, but do not expect a revival Torchwood a decade after its cancellation. It will not be saved.
